Installation of utility networks is complete
“The construction of a multifunctional complex (MFC) near the Mnyovniki station of the Big Circle Line (BCL), designed to become the top attraction point in the Mnyovnikovskaya floodplain, is nearly complete”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding acts as an operator of territory development for several major urban development projects, including the Mnyovnikovskaya floodplain, and the construction manager.
“The construction of the MFC near the same name station of the Big Circle Line, opened at the beginning of the year, is already at its final stage: the in-situ concreting is complete and the glazing of the facade is 85%complete,” informed Andrey Bochkarev.
The head of the Construction Complex explained that when the facility is complete, there will be a state-of-the-art office building near the Mnyovniki station, which will be the top attraction point in the new development area of Moscow.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, noted that the installation of utility networks had been completed: pipelines are ready, and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, cooling and fire extinguishing systems have been installed on floors 7 to 13 of the future building.
“Meanwhile, work is continuing in the interior premises on floors 10 to 12, where the brickwork for the partitions is being implemented, which has been completed by more than a half,” Yury Kravtsov added.
More than 300 people are working on the site, he specified.
Recall that the development of the Mnyovnikovskaya floodplain within an area of over 350 hectares involves the construction of public, residential, sports, administrative, social, and commercial facilities measuring in total about 2.5 million square metres.
Currently, the transport scheme and routes are being updated and designed considering utility location zones. It is envisaged to improve embankments and park areas of about 125 hectares located within the boundaries of the specially protected natural territory of the Moskvoretsky Natural and Historical Park.
Within the territory of the Mnyovnikovskaya floodplain, two stations of the Big Circle Line are already open, namely Mnyovniki and Terekhovo. The latter was launched on December 7 as part of the BCL section comprising ten stations. Good transport accessibility will become one of the drivers for the development of the new area.
