The utility systems are being installed at all the stations under construction

“The north-eastern section of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow metro is three-quarters complete”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.

“The north-eastern section of the Big Circle Line where the Sokolniki, Rizhskaya, and Maryina Roshcha stations are under construction, is 76% complete. Earthworks and monolithic works are coming to an end at the whole section, the architectural finishing of the stations is underway, the urban land improvement has been started,” said Andrey Bochkarev.

According to him, Maryina Roshcha has the highest degree of completeness – about 80%.

“Here, 130-meter escalators are being commissioned, the monolithic work has been started on the platform, and the laying of natural stone has been started in the overground concourse,” explained the head of Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, noted that utility systems: pipelines, air ducts and equipment are being installed at all the stations under construction on the north-eastern section of the BCL.

“The Rizhskaya station is more than 70% complete. The installation of the hose proof hood of the escalator tunnel is nearly completed. Partitions are being erected at the concourse of the station, installation of utility equipment has begun, waterproofing work is underway,” specified Yuri Kravtsov.

The Maryina Roshcha and Rizhskaya stations are being constructed by underground method, both are located at a depth of more than 60 meters.

The northeastern section of the BCL includes six stations. The Maryina Roshcha, Rizhskaya, and Sokolniki stations are under construction (urban land improvement has started). The Lefortovo, Aviamotornaya, and Elektrozavodskaya stations, opened to passengers, are temporarily operating as part of the Nekrasovskaya line.
