The Novatorskaya station of the Big Circle Line of the Moscow Metro has a high level of readiness

“The Novatorovskaya station of the South section of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro is about 90% ready”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow metro.

“In situ concrete works are almost complete at the Novatorskaya station: the main structures are already 99% complete. To date, we estimate the readiness of the station as very high,” said Andrey Bochkarev.

According to the Deputy Mayor, the builders still have to work on the improvement of the surrounding area of the station.

“In particular, they will lay asphalt concrete pavement, perform granite paving and put down new lawns. The roadway of Novatorov Street and Udaltsova Street will be restored, and bays will be arranged for public transport stops,” added Andrey Bochkarev.

For his part, Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, said that as part of the construction of the BCL, escalators are fully assembled and their running-in is carried out at the Novatorskaya station.

“The equipment of the traction substation is fully assembled, and the rigid base of the tunnels and the track structure on the running tunnel between Novatorskaya and Vorontsovskaya is completed. Architectural and finishing work in the passenger area and the installation of utility systems have a high degree of readiness,” explained Yuri Kravtsov.

We would remind that yesterday Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, inspected the construction progress of the Novatorskaya station of the Big Circle Line, noting that the largest project of Moscow Metro construction is being implemented at a good pace. “Already by the end of this year, two-thirds of the Big Circle Line of Moscow Metro will be built,” stressed Sergei Sobyanin.
