This street will become part of the Southern Rockade
“Construction of the terminus area with the building of the terminal station of the State Unitary Enterprise “Mosgortrans” on Donetskaya Street is reaching completion as part of the project of the third section of the Southern Rockade”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is the general contractor and general designer of several sections of the Southern Rockade.
“The terminus area has already been built, the readiness of the building of the terminal station is estimated to be 95%, the installation and commissioning for power supply, heating, air conditioning and low-current systems are being completed. Charging stations for electric buses have been installed”, said the Deputy Mayor.
According to him, the section is also under reconstruction and construction of utilities.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that the automated control system cable line is being laid on Donetskaya Street.
“Measures are taken to protect heat and gas supply networks, construction of rainwater drainage, external lighting, redevelopment of cable lines”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.
The head of Mosinzhproekt specified that a treatment facility is also being built on the section, which will minimize the impact of the highway on the environment through the quality of wastewater treatment.
“The reinforcement and concreting of the walls of the underground tanks of the treatment facility is underway”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.
The Southern Rockade is part of the new transport framework of Moscow, along with the Moscow High-Speed Diameter and the North-Western Chord. The Rockade will connect the Moscow major motorways: Moscow Automobile Ring Road, Kutuzovsky Prospekt, Michurinsky Prospekt, Prospekt Vernadskogo, Leninsky Prospekt, Profsoyuznaya Street, Varshavskoye Shosse, Proletarsky Prospekt, Kashirskoye Shosse, and Lyublinskaya Street.
