Two flyovers are under construction here
“Completion of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter section from Polbina Street to Kuryanovskiy Boulevard is 65%”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general contractor and general designer of a number of sections of the Moscow High-SpeedDiameter.
“The section is 4.25 km long, and the total length of the roads is 11.7 km. The project includes the construction of two flyovers across Batayskaya Street and Batyuninskaya Street, a pedestrian underpass and a retaining wall to ensure the security of the first aid and emergency medical substation, which is located on rising ground near the High-Speed Diameter construction zone. Its construction is in its final stage”, said Andrey Bochkarev.
He specified that the flyover across Batyuninskaya Street is two-thirds complete.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that the construction of the flyover across Batayskaya Street is also being completed and commissioning activities in the underpass near the Kuryanovo Platform of MCD-2 are underway.
“All nine piers of the 382-metre flyover across Batyuninskaya Street have been erected, the span structure is being installed, the formwork has been installed, and reinforcement of the roadway slab is underway”, Yuri Kravtsov explained.
Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, announced about the decision to stitch together the North-Eastern and South-Eastern Chords into a new city highway, Moscow High-Speed Diameter, its readiness is estimated at 62%.
“For the millions of car owners, creation of the Moscow High-SpeedDiameter will constitute a new transport reality: faster and more comfortable travels from one area of the city to another. Bypassing the centre, it will take only 40 minutes to drive through the entire city without a single traffic light”, wrote Sergei Sobyanin in his blog.
