“The Suvorovskaya station project of the Circle Line is amended to minimize the construction impact on the existing underground circle line”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is the managing company to construct new lines and stations of Moscow Metro.
“The decision to build the station has already been made. Currently, the Suvorovskaya station project of the Circle Line is being amended. It is important to understand how to minimize the construction impact on the existing Circle Line,” said Andrey Bochkarev.
According to him, there is a clear need to carry out the project, but it is a technologically challenging site.
“It can be completed only after commissioning of the Big Circle Line,” the head of Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction emphasized.
The Suvorovskaya station will be located on the Circle Line between Novoslobodskaya and Prospekt Mira. It will become an interchange station to Dostoevskaya of Lublinsko-Dmitrovskaya Line of Moscow Metro.
Previously it was reported that it is planned to define a new program of the Moscow metro development by the end of 2022 when the construction of the Big Circle Line is complete. The resources freed up after the completion of the BCL can be used to build stations in the city center, construct new Biryulyovskaya and Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya Lines of Moscow Metro, and possibly extend the existing radial lines.
