The third stage of reconstruction of the Nizhegorodskoye electric depot is more than half completed

More than 50 sub-facilities are in operation at the depot

The construction readiness of the ongoing third stage of the reconstruction of the Nizhegorodskoye electric depot is 54%, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the government of Moscow on urban policy and the construction Andrey Bochkarev. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is the operator of the Moscow Metro Development Program.

“The third stage of reconstruction of the Nizhegorodskoye electric depot , designed for repair and maintenance of trains of the Big Circle Line (BCL), the general construction readiness of this stage is estimated at 54%,” said Andrey Bochkarev.

According to the Deputy Mayor, only 52 sub-facilities are in work now, most of them are planned to be commissioned during the third phase, including the stabling and repair building with production workshops, maintenance personnel building, a motor depot for inspection and repair of motor-rail transport, a workshop, and several other necessary buildings.

In turn, Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC specified that wall panels of stabling and repair building would be installed. Then, in a month, emergency services are going to be completed, the interior design works will be left.

“In addition, as part of this phase, builders are erecting a signaling control, necessary for traffic control with modern control and automation systems to regulate the train movement. We also began to equip the very group of tracks,” added Yuri Kravtsov, recalling that the construction of energy facilities as part of the second phase of reconstruction is nearing completion, and all work will be completed by the end of the year.

Work on the Nizhegorodsky electric depo is carried out between the right-of-way line of the Kurskoye direction of the railroad, Entuziastov highway, and the Third Ring Road, the former Voitovich rail-car repair Plant. Several former workshops are being reconstructed and modernized. In addition, new depot buildings are being erected, equipped with the latest equipment, allowing for quality service of the Big Circle Line trains. Current and overhaul repair of cars will be carried out here and at night stabling and train washing.
