Tunnels continue to be developed
“The overall construction readiness of the section of the promising Troitskaya Line from Novatorskaya to Bachurinskaya is estimated at 56%”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general designer and general contractor to build the new lines and stations of the Moscow Metro.
“In-situ concreting and excavation are underway at all five stations, and the tunnels between them continue to be developed. The rigid bedding is almost three-quarters complete at the whole section, and the track superstructure is more than 25% complete”, said the Deputy Mayor.
He recalled that the section will be 13 km long. It will house the Novatorskaya, Universitet Druzhby Narodov, Ulitsa Generala Tyuleneva, Tyutchevskaya and Mamyri stations.
Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, specified that all ten inter-station tunnels have already been tunnelled, the last one was tunnelled a month ago, connecting Mamyri with Bachurinskaya.
“Architectural finishing of the business premises continues at Novatorskaya, utilities are being installed at Universitet Druzhby Narodov, and concourses of the station complexes are being constructed at the Ulitsa Generala Tyuleneva and Mamyri stations”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.
The Troitskaya metro line will run from MCC to the city district of Troitsk. Its length will exceed 40 km. As expected, the line will be used by around 100 thousand people on a daily basis. In overall, more than 1 million people are living within the reach of the new line, with several hundred thousand more working or studying there.
