The protecting screen is under construction
“Construction of the tunnel under the railway tracks of the Paveletskoye direction of the Moscow Railway as part of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter is 30% complete”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.
Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a general contractor and general designer of a number of sections of the Moscow High-SpeedDiameter.
“A tunnel-type overhead road is being built on the section of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter from the Paveletskoye direction of the Moscow Railway to the Moscow Automobile Ring Road, which will run under the railway tracks and connect the Chertanovo and Tsaritsyno districts”, said the Deputy Mayor.
According to him, the work is being carried out around the clock, with over fifty people and 15 pieces of equipment working at the site.
“The builders have started working on the launch and exit pits of the overhead road in parallel, which allows them to speed up the pace of work. Currently, the soil mass is being consolidated, a rainwater drainage system is being constructed and a section of the main road is being build”, said the head of Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction.
According to Konstantin Maslakov, General Director of MIP-Stroy 1 (the construction division of Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding), the work is also continuing on the installation of a protecting screen which will further ensure an uninterrupted train traffic during the construction of the load-bearing structures of the tunnel under one of the key directions of the Moscow Railway with heavy train traffic.
“The excavation for the right tunnel is being completed in the launch pit. In the left one, the last third spacing tier is installed to prevent soil displacement during excavation. We plan to complete the protecting screens for both tunnels in May”, specified Konstantin Maslakov.
The head of MIP-Stroy 1 also added that the site is undergoing preparatory work for laying the bottom asphalt concrete layer on the section of the main route of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter. The laying will be completed in this section by the end of the month.
Recall, this section of the High-Speed Diameter will provide access to the highway from the Biryulyovo Zapadnoye district and integration with Dorozhnaya Street, which serves as a back-up road to Varshavskoye Highway.
