THE UTILITY SCHEME FOR THE KHRUNICHEV CENTRE TERRITORY IS BEING COMPLETE

There are plans to establish a research and production cluster here

“The integrated utility scheme for the vacated territory of the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center is nearing completion”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is the operator of several major urban development projects (UDP) in the capital, including the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center territory.

“A complex scheme of utilities networks and facilities is being developed: water supply, sewerage, heat, electricity, gas and communication. Another important stage of the prospective development of the vacated territory of the Khrunichev Center is to develop a street and road network”, said the head of the Moscow Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction.

He specified that the territorial development plan envisages the construction of about 11 km of new roads and the reconstruction of 2 km of the existing ones.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, noted that since its foundation, Mosinzhproekt has been specialising in utilities and communication which is an important base for all elements of urban infrastructure. It also has been involved in road construction for many decades. These areas of activities are still in the priority of the holding today.

“The availability of modern engineering and road infrastructure is important for future investors. The timing and costs of projects in an area prepared in advance and provided with the necessary communication will be significantly reduced”, said Yuri Kravtsov.

The head of the engineering holding recalled that the 90-hectare territory of the Khrunichev Center being vacated, envisages the construction of the research and production cluster, administrative and business buildings, residential buildings and social facilities, engineering and transport infrastructure.

The flagship development project for the territory is the creation of the National Space Centre, one of the largest in the world. The NSC will consolidate the leading organisations of the rocket and space industry on one site: the Central Office and Situation Centre of Roscosmos State Space Corporation, sectoral research institutes and enterprises, design bureaus, and other facilities. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is a managing company for constructional engineering projects.

Apart from the territory of the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, Mosinzhproekt is the operator of the development of the Mnyovnikovskaya floodplain vacated territory, as well as the Kommunarka ABC in New Moscow. The total area of the facilities scheduled for construction exceeds 12 million square metres.

As the operator of territory development, Mosinzhproekt coordinates activities of all participants of its development, implements measures to optimise design and construction terms, and budget expenditures of the city of Moscow for implementing projects by public customers.
