A lift for people with low mobility has also been installed in the concourse, and escalators leading to the platform section have been installed previously”, said Andrey Bochkarev.

The Deputy Mayor added that the commissioning is underway for all the equipment being installed.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, reminded that the four 95-metre-long escalators are among the longest in the Moscow Metro, as the Rizhskaya station is located at great depth.

“The concourse of the new BCL station has convenient exits to Rizhsky railway station and ground public transport stops. Landscaping of the area adjacent to the metro is nearing completion”, informed Yuri Kravtsov.

The head of the engineering holding specified that walkways are being paved with granite tiles, trees and shrubs are being planted and benches are being installed.

In addition to the Rizhskaya station, the north-eastern section of the Big Circle Line includes the Sokolniki and Maryina Roshcha stations under construction and the Aviamotornaya, Lefortovo, Elektrozavodskaya, which are already built and temporarily operating as part of the Nekrasovskaya Line, as well as the connecting line in the Nizhegorodskoe electric depot.

Construction of the Big Circle Line is the main project of the Moscow Metro construction. Its length will exceed 70 km, and it will accommodate 31 stations, 22 of which are already open to passengers.
