The running tunnels between Lianozovo and Fiztech stations under construction on Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line of the Moscow Metro are ready for more than 50%, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the government of Moscow on urban policy and the construction Andrey Bochkarev. Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is the managing company to construct new lines and stations of the Moscow Metro.
“The Tatiana and Irina tunneling machines began their work in November of last year at the Lianozovo station, which is currently under construction, having passed more than half of the way to the future Fiztech station. Both shields have already crossed the Moscow Automobile Ring Road, and as of today, the readiness of the right and left tunnels is estimated at 63% and 55%, respectively”, said Andrey Bochkarev.
According to him, all three stations are in the active construction stage – the excavation is completed and in situ concrete works are underway at Lianozovo and 800 years of Moscow Street.
“At the third station, Fiztech, the builders began installing the enclosing structures of the pit using diaphragm wall technology and the removal of utilities from the construction site,” added Andrey Bochkarev.
In turn, Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, clarified that the Tatiana tunneling machine which is building the right running tunnel between Lianozovo and Fiztech stations passed 1,473 meters, and the Irina tunneling machine which is erecting the left running tunnel passed 1,272 meters of the planned 2,345 meters.
He also said the tunneling continues of the right running tunnel from the future 800 years of Moscow Street station to Lianozovo continues at this site. “The Clavdia tuneling machine has already completed more than a kilometer of the 1.8-kilometer tunnel, and the tunnel is about 60% complete. The left running tunnel has been passed at this section,” explained Yuri Kravtsov.
Let’s remind, a new section of Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line covering over 6 km has three stations with the project names 800 years of Moscow Street, Lianozovo, and Fiztech. The extension of the pale green metro line to the Severny district beyond the Moscow Automobile Ring Road (MKAD) will improve the transport accessibility of adjacent areas and reduce traffic on the Dmitrovskoye highway and the adjacent street and road network, which will save residents up to 20 minutes on their trips around the city.
