TWO FLYOVERS ON SOUTHERN SECTION OF MOSCOW HIGH-SPEED DIAMETER ARE HALF-BARRED

“The barrier railing installation is estimated to be 56% complete on the two flyovers located on the section from Grayvoronovskaya Street to Shosseinaya Street of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MSD)”, reported Mr. Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.

The Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies is a general contractor and general designer of a number of sections of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter.

“Work continues on the two flyovers that will provide the exit from the main MSD course to Volgogradsky avenue towards the Moscow Automobile Ring Road and the exit from Volgogradsky avenue to the MSD towards Kashirskaya highway. Metal barrier railings have been installed on the sides of the two-lane overpasses, which are 620 metres and 635 metres long”, said Mr. Andrey Bochkarev.

According to Deputy Mayor, protective insulation has also been completed on these flyovers and two-thirds of the asphalt concrete has been laid, and preparatory work is underway to install the outdoor lighting poles. A total of five flyovers are planned to be constructed for the section from Grayvoronovskaya Street to Shosseinaya Street.
Mr. Yuri Kravtsov, CEO, Mosinzhproekt JSC, added that for the section of one and a half kilometres, the route would follow the flyover of the main course.

“Most of the installation work for the span of this artificial structure was carried out using the launching method, which was carried out over the existing railway line, Volgogradsky avenue and over Shosseinaya Street. At the same time, there was no blockage of urban or public transport. Currently, concreting of the roadway slab is underway”, noted Mr. Yuri Kravtsov.

The head of the engineering holding informed that two more flyovers were also under construction: the first one would provide an exit from Volgogradsky avenue to the MSD main course towards Ryazansky avenue, and the other one would provide an exit from the MSD main course when travelling towards Ryazansky avenue to Volgogradsky avenue towards the Moscow Automobile Ring Road.

“The entire section of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter from Grayvoronovskaya Street to Shosseinaya Street is almost two-thirds complete”, specified Mr. Yuri Kravtsov.

The section from Grayvoronovskaya Street to Shosseinaya Street, with a total length of more than 2 km, will connect the Nizhegorodskiy and Pechatniki districts, improving the transport situation in the city’s south-east.
