URBAN PLANNING PROJECT AT KOMMUNARKA DEVELOPMENT AREA WILL EXCEED 469 HA

A museum depository and exhibition complex is scheduled to build

“The urban planning project in the administrative and business centre (ABC) in the village of Kommunarka comprises the facilities built both at the expense of the city and at the expense of private investors”, said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Urban Planning and Construction.

Mosinzhproekt Engineering Holding is the operator of several major urban development projects, including the territory of the Kommunarka ABC.

“As part of area development in line with a large-scale urban development project of the administrative and business centre in Kommunarka, it is scheduled to build-up more than 469 hectares, with one part of this land allocated for the facilities to be developed at the expense of the city and the other part subject to be implemented at the expense of private investors”, specified Andrey Bochkarev.

The Deputy Mayor reminded that almost 1.7 km of the roads are getting ready for commissioning in the area of the administrative and business centre.

“The first stage of development of the ABC road network is in progress. 1.66 km of roads are at the stage of obtaining permit for commissioning, inclusive of the bridge across the Sosenka River and the storm sewer treatment plant”, clarified Andrey Bochkarev.

Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC, noted that there are public, business and commercial, and residential premises among the investment projects of the cluster, as well as a hotel complex and a transport hub.

“At the expense of the city budget, on the ABC grounds it is scheduled to build a museum depository and exhibition complex, a sports and recreation centre, educational and healthcare facilities”, said Yuri Kravtsov.

Besides, within the scope of the city budget, the transport and engineering infrastructure of the ABC is being developed, the first-stage facilities are near to completion.

“The principal facilities of power, heat, water supply and sanitation, as well as an extensive network of engineering utilities are being developed here”, specified Yuri Kravtsov.

It is noteworthy, that the Kommunarka ABC is one of the most dynamic growth points in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Districts (TiNAO). It is scheduled to build-up around 7.2 million square metres with real estate, create 164 thousand new jobs, new social and cultural facilities will appear, inclusive of the Inter-museum multifunctional depository and exhibition complex for the federal and city museums.

In the framework of the Interaction and Cooperation Agreement signed in October 2021, the delegation represented by Yekaterinburg Administration visited the facilities of Mosinzhproekt Group of Companies, including the ABC Kommunarka. The purpose of the visit was to examine the experience of the holding in managing all stages of the project in accordance with the “one-stop-shop” principle, and in coordinating the work with all the departments involved. Besides, the administration of the capital of the Sverdlovsk region was also interested in Moscow holding’s experience in the field of integrated planning of new areas, and mutual integration of all elements of urban and transport infrastructure.
